In certain traditions, it is believed that our daily life is a dream and that when we fall asleep at night we awaken in reality. A reality where we can be many places and things at once. Where we are not limited by our physicality, our age, our race, ethnicity, class, or any other identification, but where we are free to be free and free to be awake in the dream we are seeding into our daily life.
The language of dreams comes through many symbols, but beyond the liminal subconscious realms is a deeper study of the collective psyche, one that ancient people regarded with great reverence and seriousness. From a young age, Dream Sages were identified or self-selected for their uncanny ability to recount what they had observed in the dreaming. Oftentime with great attention to detail and information beyond the scope of their current life experiences, those chosen to read dreams or to dream for their village or tribe, were trained to possess, and not be possessed by, the gift of prophecy. Cultivated by elders or teachers to come into multidimensional self awareness while staying firmly rooted in their life and offering the benefits of their gifts to the service of the community.
We are at a time in our collective dreaming where many of our outward experiences appear to be a nightmare. As conscious people we often talk about spiritual awakening, but where are we still asleep? And if tribal wisdom is right, and science is finding this to be the case more and more each day, then it is imperative that we shake off our sleepiness and energetic exhaustion and learn to use these sacred & ancient technologies to seed a new dream from humanity. One that is centered in love, peace, equality, unity, and harmony with all of life.In Dreaming Awake, you will be guided through practices and disciplines to help you unlock your subconscious mind and access the dream world with new depth and clarity. You will study both modern science around sleep and sacred science around dreams. I am the herbalist, medicine maker, educator and founder over at Anima Mundi. I’m originally from Costa Rica and started Anima Mundi several years ago in Brooklyn as a means to bridging ancient remedies to the modern world. My heart was to create a true farm to pharmacy experience through the art of medicine making with herbs. We offer a wide spectrum of remedies and plants from around the world, integrating from several traditions that I’ve studied over the years, such as rainforest tribal styles, Ayurveda, Chinese-Daoist Medicine, and European style alchemy. I believe that by preserving these ancient forms of indigenous botany, we keep alive a very sacred aspect to our source. Anima Mundi was founded with the intention to bridge ancient healing traditions and plant remedies as a form as grass roots healthcare for today’s world.
