Moon Magic: Aries Full Moon

Full Moons are a time of culmination and completion of cycles that call our attention to turn inward and reflect on what is no longer serving our growth and development. We must slow down and allow things to reveal themselves so that healing and transformation can take place. The energy of a full moon is Yin centered; it is a time of rest, reflection, and release to aid in the process of manifestation.

Be Free

We have a dynamic Aries Full Moon happening on October 9th, pushing us into Eclipse season! Aries is masculine, cardinal, fire, and ruled by Mars, the planet of action and passion. Aries energy is inspiring, dynamic, and full of energy! Libra rules connections and our ability to find balance, beauty, and fairness in our relationships. The Libra and Aries opposition signifies I vs. We!

Whenever we are working with Aries energy we are being asked to put ourselves first and forward. There is nothing shy or passive about Aries. Aries wants independence and an opportunity to lead and inspire. Let this Full Moon spark desire within you to see yourself as the true leader you are!

Self Sabotage and You

This moon is about “the self” and where we have been or have not been showing up for ourselves. We must take a deeper look at how we have been sabotaging ourselves for the sake of others. Where have we been neglecting our own personal power? How we feel about others is how we feel about ourselves- so we must honor our relationship with self first.

This full moon is also in close relationship with Chiron, the wounded healer. Chiron in Aries asks us to heal our perception that we are not good enough to lead or be independent. Not to mention, this Full Moon comes before a purifying Eclipse in Scorpio, which will force us to transform ourselves. Take a moment this Full Moon to notice where you are not satisfied in your life, and begin to put your needs a priority.

Working with this Full Moon Energy

Aries rules the Root Chakra for security and the Solar Plexus for confidence. Surround yourself with red colors or even yellow for power and stamina.

Aries energy is very fiery and heated. Cooling herbs such as Chrysanthemum, Peppermint, Lemon Balm, and Fever grass can be very beneficial for the body during this time.

A few crystals that can support this Aries Full Moon energy are Bloodstone, Black Tourmaline, Red Jasper, and  Tiger’s Eye.

Movement will be the theme for this full moon! Go for a walk, jog, take a dance class, or even a fitness class. Do something that can release energy and get you more attuned to your physical body and willpower.

Happy Full Moon!
