Full Moons are a time of culmination and completion of cycles that call our attention to turn inward and reflect on what is no longer serving our growth and development. We are reminded during this time to slow down and allow things to reveal themselves so that healing and transformation can take place. The energy of a full moon is Yin centered; it is a time of rest, reflection, and release to aid in the process of manifestation.
When the Lion meets the Intellect
We’ve got a powerful Full Moon on Thursday, August 11th in the sign of Aquarius, just one week after the Mars, Uranus, and North Node conjunction in the sign of Taurus.
When the powers of Leo and Aquarius come together, it makes a dynamic energetic pairing. Aquarius is Masculine, fixed, air, and co-ruled by both Saturn and Uranus. Aquarius is the intellect, ruling the crown chakra and the third eye of higher levels of consciousness and knowing. Leo represents presence, vitality, grand gestures, and expressions. Aquarius represents grand ideas and visions.
The struggle between these two signs is that both Aquarius and Leo can remain prideful in their ways of movement and action. The two can only find common ground through balance and appreciation of each other’s uniqueness. We need the Leo energy of self-respect, dignity, and power in order to push forward with our futuristic and genius Aquarian ideas.

This full moon is a great opportunity to trust in your worth and believes that your vision and ideas can truly make a difference in the world. In true Leo fashion, ‘No vision is too big. Aquarius energy represents the bigger mission. Aquarius also represents friendship and reminds us that we get a lot farther when we work together. This Full moon can be a great invitation to start gathering with other like-minded people who believe in your mission, and together create something dynamic!
Aquarius likes to think outside the box and pair logic with imagination. Some questions to consider during this full moon are: What are my visions for the future and how can I share that with the world? How am I connecting with like-minded individuals who support my vision?
Mercury will be in the sign of Virgo during this Full Moon so communication will be very clear. We can use the sun’s energy in Leo to feel confident enough to communicate and express our dynamic ideas for future goals and endeavors.
