New Moons are the perfect opportunity to initiate new ideas and intentions into the world! We are reminded during this time that when we take action to nourish our mind and body we create fertile ground for new seeds to grow. The energy of a new moon is Yang centered; it is a time of action, movement, and initiation to aid in the process of manifestation.

We have a powerful New Moon happening in the sign of Capricorn on Friday, December 23rd, just days after the Winter Solstice!

What makes this New Moon so powerful is that it will be met with the Sun, Mercury, Venus as well as Puto, all of which are also in the sign of Capricorn! This will be a very proactive and practical season.

Do the Work

Capricorn is an earth, feminine and cardinal sign that likes to build external security through material resources and gains. Very similar to fellow earth sign Taurus, Capricorn values resources and stability. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn reminds us that disciplined action creates a sustainable foundation.

Now is a great time to develop a plan of action toward developing stable opportunities for yourself. Capricorn wants us to build security through hard work and discipline so that we can further support our emotional needs.

Wherever Capricorn is placed in your chart will signify an area that needs to be further strengthened and developed to better support you.

Time is of the Essence

With three planets as well as the Sun and Moon in Capricorn, now is a good time to get back to the drawing board and clean up loose ends. Sagittarius season brought in new and exciting ideas, use this Capricorn energy to develop practical approaches to your new project. However, with Mars still currently retrograde, focus on moving with the flow rather than force.

And as always, in true Capricorn fashion, don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty, and do the work!
